Some polls show Trump’s lead over Biden widening, raising concerns about losing the presidency, House seats, and the Senate majority if Biden leads the ticket. Angie Craig, running in a competitive district in Minnesota, expressed doubt that Biden could “effectively campaign and win against Donald Trump,” despite respecting his decades of service. There are fears of violence in Paris and other French cities, whatever the outcome of the vote, and a planned protest outside the National Assembly on Sunday evening has been banned.

In Dreux, a historic old town on the road to Normandy, Sunday’s vote falls on the day the Olympic flame is passing through. “For us it’s a massive thing, bigger than the election,” says Pauline in the tourist office.

The flame has been travelling around France for almost two months, and Dreux has planned a weekend of festivities to mark its arrival.

“Macron should have waited until after the Olympics,” Dreux resident Antoine told the BBC.

லா ரோசெல்லில் நடைபெற்ற சாலை விபத்தில் 10 வயது சிறுமி உயிரிழந்த துயர சம்பவம் குறித்து பிராசிக்யூட்டர் அலுவலகம் தகவல் வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

சிறுமி புதன்கிழமை அவசர சிகிச்சைக்காக பாயிட்டியர்ஸ் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார், பின்னர் மூளைச் சாவு அடைந்ததாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. வெள்ளிக்கிழமை மதியம் பிரேத பரிசோதனை நடத்தப்படவுள்ளது.

விபத்தில் காயமடைந்த மற்ற நான்கு குழந்தைகள் மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளனர், அவர்களில் ஒருவரின் உயிர் நிலை கவலைக்கிடமாக உள்ளது என்று பிராசிக்யூட்டர் அலுவலகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. இரண்டு குழந்தைகள் லா ரோசெல்லே மருத்துவமனையில் கண்காணிப்பில் உள்ளனர். காயமடைந்த மற்ற இரண்டு குழந்தைகள் புதன்கிழமை மருத்துவமனையில் இருந்து வெளியேற்றப்பட்டனர்.

ஒருங்கிணைப்பு போட்டியில் கலந்து கொண்ட குழந்தைகள்

பாதிக்கப்பட்ட குழந்தைகள் 12 பேர் கொண்ட குழுவைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள், நகர மையத்திற்கு அருகில் சைக்கிள் ஓட்டி சென்று கொண்டிருந்தனர். காற்றோட்டமான மையத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, பொது பூங்காவில் நடைபெற்ற ஒரு நோக்குநிலை போட்டியில் குழந்தைகள் கலந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்.

எதிர்பாராத விதமாக திரும்பிய கார்

“எந்த காரணமும் இல்லாமல் திடீரென்று இடதுபுறமாக திரும்பிய” மஞ்சள் நிற டவிங்கோ கார் Avenue Coligny என்ற இடத்தில் “நேருக்கு நேர் மோதலில்” குழந்தைகளை மோதியதாக பிராசிக்யூட்டர் அலுவலகம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

ஓட்டுநர் மீதான குற்றச்சாட்டு

ஆரம்ப கட்டத்தில் இந்த விபத்து தொடர்பாக “வாகன ஓட்டுநரால் அநிச்சையான காயம்” என்ற குற்றம் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டது, ஆனால் பின்னர் அது “வாகன ஓட்டுநரால் கொலை” என்ற தீவிர குற்றச்சாட்டாக மாற்றப்பட்டது. இந்த வழக்கு நகரின் தேசிய காவல்துறை இடைத்துறை இயக்குநரகம் (DIPN) அலுவலகத்திடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பாரிஸ் நகரில் ஈபிள் கோபுரத்துக்கு மிக அருகே வீதியோரம் காணப்பட்ட ஐந்து முழு அளவிலான பிரேதப் பெட்டிகளைப் பொலீஸார் மீட்டிருக்கின்றனர். 

கோபுரத்தின் அடியில் Jacques-Chirac Quay பக்கமாக நேற்று ஜூன் முதலாம் திகதி காலை இந்தச் சவப் பெட்டிகளை ஈபிள் கோபுரப் பணியாளர்கள் முதலில் கண்டுள்ளனர். உடனடியாகப் பொலீஸார் அங்கு அழைக்கப்பட்டனர். ஐந்து சவப் பெட்டிகளும் மூடப்பட்டு சீல் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன.பிரெஞ்சுக்கொடி சுற்றப்பட்டிருந்தது. அவற்றின் மீது”உக்ரைனில் உயிரிழந்த பிரெஞ்சு வீரர்கள்”(soldats français morts en Ukraine”) என்ற வாசகம் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்ததாகத் தகவலறிந்த வட்டாரங்கள் பாரிஸ் செய்தி ஊடகங்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்துள்ளன. 

அறிவியல் பொலீஸ் பிரிவினர் பெட்டிகளை நுணுக்கமாகச் சோதனை செய்தபின் அவை அங்கிருந்து அகற்றப்பட்டன. 

இந்தச் சம்பவம் தொடர்பாக வாகனச் சாரதி ஒருவரைப் பொலீஸார் உடனடியாகக் கைது செய்துள்ளனர். வேறு இரண்டு பேரை அவர் அந்த வாகனத்தில் ஏற்றிச் சென்றுள்ளார் என்பது தெரியவந்தது. அவர்கள் இருவரும் பஸ்ஸில் ஜேர்மனிக்குச் செல்லத் தயாராகிக் கொண்டிருந்த சமயத்தில் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். சந்தேக நபர்கள் மூவரும் பல்கேரியா, உக்ரைன், ஜேர்மனி நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் என்று பரீஷியன் செய்தி நிறுவனம் தகவல் வெளியிட்டிருக்கிறது.

பாரிஸ் நகரில் தானியங்கி முறையில் இயங்குகின்ற மெற்றோ 14 (ligne 14) வழித்தட ரயில் சேவை மேலும் நவீனமயப்படுத்தப்பட்டு அதன் இரண்டு முனைகளிலும் மேலும் நீடிக்கப்படுகிறது. 

ஒரு தடவையில் ஆயிரம் பயணிகள் செல்லத்தக்க இந்த நீண்ட ரயில் தடம் 

ஒலிம்பிக் போட்டிகளுக்கு முன்பாக எதிர்வரும் ஜூன் 24 ஆம் திகதி முதல் வடக்கே Saint-Denis – Pleyel வரையும் தெற்கே ஓர்லி விமான நிலையம் (Orly airport) வரையும் நீடிப்புச் செய்யப்படுகிறது. 

ஒலிம்பிக் காலப்பகுதியில் பாரிஸ் நகரம் எதிர்கொள்ளக் கூடிய பெரும் போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலைக் குறைக்கும் இலக்குடன் இந்த மெற்றோ வழித்தடத்தின் நீடிப்பு வேலைகள் முழு வீச்சில் நடைபெற்று வருகின்றன. 

பாரிஸில் இரண்டாவது பெரிய விமான நிலையமாகிய ஓர்லியை நகரின் மையப் பகுதிகளோடு இணைக்கவுள்ள முதலாவது மெற்றோ ரயில் சேவை இதுவாகும். இதன் மூலம் விமானப் பயணிகள் பாரிஸ் நகருக்கும் விமான நிலையத்துக்கும் இடையே இலகுவாக மிகக் குறைந்த நேரத்தில் தங்களது போக்குவரத்துகளை மேற்கொள்ள முடியும். 

இதேவேளை – பாரிஸ் மெற்றோ 11 வழித்தடமும் Rosny-sous-Bois வரைநீடிக்கப்படவுள்ளது. தற்சமயம்Châtelet மற்றும் Porte des Lilasநிலையங்களுக்கு இடையே செயற்படுகின்ற இந்த வழித்தடம் Porte des Lilas நிலையத்தில் இருந்து நீடிக்கப்பட்டுப் புதிதாக ஆறு தரிப்பிடங்களுடன் Rosny-sous-Bois  வரை விரிவடைகிறது. ஜூன் 13 ஆம் 

திகதி முதல் இது செயற்படத் தொடங்கும். அதேசமயம் – 

RER E ரயில் சேவையும் விஸ்தரிக்கப்படுகிறது. தற்சமயம் Haussmann-Saint-Lazare வரை சேவையில் ஈடுபடுகின்ற அந்த ரயில் அங்கிருந்து Nanterre வரை விஸ்தரிப்புச் செய்யப்படுகிறது.
